The Cerdanya

What to do during your stay

We are in the middle of one of the widest valleys in Europe, with close to 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. These are the four things people come back for.

Skiing

Discover the Cerdanya ski resorts

Alp 2500 links La Molina and Masella into 100 km of pistes, unique in the Pyrenees. Across the border you have Font-Romeu, Les Angles and Porté-Puymorens, and Andorra is an hour away. All under 30 minutes by car, except Andorra.

  • La Molina
  • Masella
  • Font-Romeu
  • Les Angles
  • Grandvalira

Nature

Hiking and mountains

From the Cadí range to the Puigmal, the valley offers everything from flat riverside walks to serious ascents. In winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and dog-sled trips.

  • Cadí range
  • Puigmal
  • Cerdanya trails

Hot springs

Unwind after a day outdoors

The French side of the valley has open-air hot springs less than half an hour away: Lló, Dorres and Saint-Thomas. Sitting in 38 °C water with snow all around is one of the best things you can do here.

  • Lló baths
  • Dorres baths
  • Saint-Thomas-les-Bains

Food and wine

Taste the Cerdanya

Trinxat, cured meats, cheeses and honey from the valley. There are nearly 300 restaurants here, from village set menus to fine dining, plus food festivals in Llívia, Alp, Ger and Puigcerdà.

  • Cerdanya trinxat

  • Cheese and honey

And there is more

Mountain biking

Trails all over the valley, with local companies renting gear and running guided rides.

Air sports

Gliding, hot-air balloons and microlights from the Cerdanya airfield, a few minutes from Llívia.
